Obituary of Joan L. Urban

Joan L. Urban, 78; of Lower Paxton Township passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Spring Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Joan was born on May 6, 1937 in McSherrystown PA. and was a daughter to Richard and Helen Klunk. Joan was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Joan Spent 40 years as a teacher and guidance counselor for the Diocese of Harrisburg. The last 27 of those years were spent at Bishop McDevitt High School where she was extremely happy. Joan is survived by her husband Roger H. Urban, her mother, Helen Klunk, two sisters, Rose Little of New Oxford, PA., Kathy Hagarman of Hanover, PA., three brothers, Thomas Klunk of Hanover, PA., Stephen Klunk of The Villages, of FL., Michael Klunk of York, PA., and several Aunts, Uncles and Nieces and Nephews. At Joan's request there will be no public viewing. A private viewing for family and friends only will be held at the funeral home after which they will process to Holy Family Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Resurrection Cemetery, Lower Paxton Township.
