Obituary of Patrick R. Douglass
Patrick Regan Douglass, 37, of Camp Hill passed away May 2nd after a long illness. He was born September 6th, 1978 in Charleston WV. He was a graduate of Trinity High School where he was involved in sports, chorus and theatre. He was a member of the debate team in which he received many accolades including the Lincoln-Douglass award for public speaking. Patrick attended Harrisburg Area Community College and completed a 4 year apprenticeship with Insulators Union Local 23. He was a member of Penbrook Squadron 730, Sons of The American Legion. Patrick was larger than life in both literal and figurative ways and a loyal friend to many. He was a sports enthusiast always rooting for Michigan University Football, the NY Mets, and the Chicago Bears. He had a passion for reading, art, music, and had a love of the beach. His greatest love of all were his three children. He loved them equally and embraced their individual personalities. Patrick was the son of Joanne Garn of Camp Hill and James Douglass of Middletown. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Marie Borne of Harrisburg and his step father Gary Garn of Camp Hill.
Patrick is survived by two daughters, Emalee and Sarah Douglass of Hummelstown, son Jack Douglass of Hummelstown, sister Kathleen Huntzinger (Christopher) of Harrisburg, niece Katie Borne of Harrisburg, nephew James Borne of Dover, as well as many family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 6PM-8PM at the Dailey Funeral Home, Penbrook.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Camp Hill.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
