Obituary of Rose M. Lawler
Rose Marcella Lawler, 92, of Penbrook passed away peacefully on March 7, 2019. She was born in Steelton, PA and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Magdalen (Mihalic) Cubranic. She graduated from Harrisburg Catholic High School. Rose was an active member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church where she volunteered in every capacity, most notably the parish food bank, the choir, Mercy Service group, and with the Easter Egg Ladies. She also served for numerous years with the uptown Harrisburg Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed spending time with her Card Ladies group playing pinochle, going to the library and reading, and vacationing in Stone Harbor. Her favorite place to be was any place with her family, all together. She is survived by her loving family including three sons: Thomas Sullivan, Robert Sullivan and his wife MaryJean, James Sullivan and his wife Jeanne, and three daughters: Anne Russell and her husband John, Jennifer Stephan and her husband Byron, and Jane Smith and her husband Mike as well as 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband Frank, sisters Jane and Dorothy, and daughter-in-law Mary. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation proceeding the mass at 9:30 a.m., also at the Church. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church 2121 N. 3rd Street Harrisburg,PA 17110-1812.
