Obituary of Samantha M. Young

Samantha Marie Young, 21, of York gained her angel wings on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Born October 8, 1993 in York, she was the loving daughter of Melissa A. (Hawkes) Young of Wrightsville and Theodore R. Young of York. A service to celebrate the life of Samantha will be held at 12noon on Monday, April 27, 2015 in the sanctuary of Wrightsville Hope Victory Campus (formerly Grace United Methodist Church), 404 Hellam Street, Wrightsville with Rev. James Wooster officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10am until the beginning of the service. Interment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. In addition to her parents, Samantha is survived by her loving daughter Arteya Young, at home; a sister, Angelica Young; a brother, Jordan Young; a loving and caring boyfriend, James Horn; Maternal Grandparents Harold E. Hawkes (Karen) of York and TessaAnn Deppen (Doug) of York; Paternal Grandparents Leonard and Ruby Young Sr. of York; along with a host of other relatives and friends. A 2012 graduate of Eastern York High School, Samantha loved field hockey, playing all four years of high school. She loved reading and doing art work. Living life to it's fullest, Samantha would love to save any animal she put her eye on, but most of all, she was the best Mother any child could ask for. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day unseen, unheard, but always near. Still very loved, will be very missed and very dear to everyone's hearts. Samantha was called home to take care of her beloved cat "Tiger Boy" and her dog "Jake".
