Obituary of Theresa Grace Cortelazzi

Theresa Grace Cortelazzi, 91, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Middletown Home. Born in Hazelton, PA she was the daughter to the late Sistino and Mary Louise (Vaccaro) Barbush. She was preceded in death by her 2 sisters, Marie Bonafede and Rita Schultz; 3 brothers, Joseph Barbush, Oliver Barbush, and Tony Barbush. She was the wife to the late Dr. Louis Cortelazzi. She was a graduate of Hazelton High School, and she also graduated from Joseph's School of Cosmetology. Theresa was a retired hairstylist who worked with her sisters in their beauty shop business. After she married her husband, she worked for him in his dental practice until her retirement. In her later years, she also worked at Walmart with her husband in the garden shop. She was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Church and also sang in the choir with her husband. They both sang with the Harrisburg Catholic Chorale Society. She loved flowers, and was a member of the Ridgeview Garden Club. Surviving are her children, Louis L. Cortelazzi, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, and Rosemarie Bell; 2 sisters, Camille Galati and Louise Kostelac, and 3 grandchildren, Andrew, Justin, Kristen. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on January 26, 2016 at 11AM at St. Catherine Laboure Church, Harrisburg. Burial will be in the Hershey Cemetery.
