Obituary of Veronica Mary Rolla
Veronica "Ronnie" Mary Rolla, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who brought joy to all who met her, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 after a short but gallant battle with cancer. Her husband of 62 years, Elmer Rolla, provided her with much tender loving care and devotion in her last weeks. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly, granddaughter Ashley Nicole, and nine siblings. Born August 26, 1936 in Dunmore, PA, she was the proud Polish daughter of the late Veronica and Michael Lubniewski. She worked at Kings Department Store in Dunmore for 20 years before her employment at Tobyhanna Army Depot from which she retired in 2002. In addition to her husband and her sister Rosalie Gatto, she is survived by son, Gary, his wife, Sandy and their daughters Amanda and Kimberly; son John, his wife Donna, and their children Casey Bossotti, Shelby, Kiersten Waymire, Jackson, and Matthew; son, Daniel, his wife Susan, and their daughters Megan, Emily Allen, Bridget Richards, and Sarah; and daughter Bonnie Finnerty, her husband Tim, and their children Caitlin Briscoe, Tim, Shane, Claire, and Michael. Six beautiful great-grandchildren were blessed to know her adoring smile and loving arms. Ronnie passionately embraced life. She loved to play Bingo, was an amazing cook, and loved to go fishing. But her greatest passion next to family and faith was beautifying this world through her love of gardening. In later years, she enjoyed traveling to Disney World, Hawaii, Ireland, and her beloved Poland. A member of St. Margaret Mary Parish and a long-time adorer at the Sacred Heart Perpetual Adoration Chapel, she loved and lived her Catholic faith with great devotion. She entrusted her life to God's will to the very end, providing a lasting testament to her family and friends. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Margaret Mary Capital Campaign.
