Obituary of Carmela Mary Joy Masciulli

Carmela Mary Joy Masciulli, 72, of Harrisburg passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Community General Hospital, Harrisburg. Born in Titusville, PA, she was the daughter to the late Vincent and Concetta (Zarbo) Joy. She was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and Shippensburg University. She worked as a teacher for St. Catherine Laboure School and St. Margaret Mary School; she also worked as a realtor with Coldwell Banker MGM. Carmela was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Harrisburg. Surviving is her husband, Carlo Masciulli; her children, Angela of Virginia Beach, VA, Anthony and his wife, Emily, Gianina and her husband, Daniel, and Maria and her husband, Ricardo all of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Kayla, Salvatore, Isabella, Langan, Valentino, Liliana, Grayson, and Nico; and a very special family friend, Richard Lutz. She was a highly loved and respected member of the Zarbo family. Her loves include but were not limited to, reading, cooking all Italian, gardening, The Philadelphia Phillies, her children, grandchildren and visits to Licata, Italy. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 6-8PM at the Dailey Funeral Home, Penbrook. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of Carmela Masciulli to the St. Margaret Mary Catholic School, 2826 Herr Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103.
