Dottie was my mother in law for 33 years. I loved her very much and am deeply saddened by her loss. More than that I am deeply saddened for my partner and her siblings who have lost such a wonderful mother. Barb told me one of my favorite stories about Dottie. They were all expected to keep their sock drawers in order, and she would check on them periodically. If she found the drawers were not up to standard she would simply leave a note in the drawer stating “Your drawer is a mess. You owe me one dollar”. To me, that is one of the most profound examples of maternal wisdom in action that I have ever heard. I will miss you Dottie, and I will always remember you with love and fondness in my heart. Lois
