Obituary of Doris C. Mitchell

Doris Catherine (Greene) Mitchell, 97 of Harrisburg; passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 in Spring Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center. Doris was born on February 7, 1918 in Scranton, PA. and was a daughter to the late John and Clara (Theobald) Greene. Doris was married to Francis J. Mitchell; sadly he passed in 1980. She was employed by John Wanamaker's Department Stores as a retail sales associate and retired from Wanamaker's at the age of 77. Doris was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Surviving are her daughters, Doris Ann (Dee) Mitchell of Madison WI., Joan A. Mitchell of Harrisburg and several Nieces, Nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M., at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11:00 A.M. in the church. Burial will follow the mass in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation be considered to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
