Obituary of Elsa E. Olmeda

Elsa E. Olmeda, "Elsie", passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at the age of 84. Elsa was born on September 20, 1934 in Comerio, Puerto Rico to the late Eleuterio Olmeda and Rita Aguayo. At an early age her family moved to New York City shortly after the death of her father. Elsa graduated from Monroe College in 1955. She retired for the PA Department of Transportation after 30 years of service. Elsa was a member of Saint Margaret Mary Church where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and was a talented seamstress like her mother Rita. She was passionate about her crafting and especially loved to make wreaths for her family and friends. Most of all, Elsa valued faith, family and cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by; her son, Carlo (Luisa) Ubaldini, daughter, Jane (David) Horn, grandchildren; Amanda, Carlos, Marie, David, and Jacob and great grandchildren; Makayla, Angelo, Brayden, Dominic, and Brextyn, and her two brothers Amilcar and Homero Olmeda, along with many nieces and nephews. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 starting at 10am at Saint Margaret Mary Church 2800 Paxton Church Rd Harrisburg PA, 17112. A burial service will follow mass at Resurrection Cemetery 116 S Oak Grove Rd, West Hanover PA, 17112.
