Obituary of Gloria F. Chiarella

Gloria F. Chiarella (Bauchmoyer), 85, of Middletown, PA, passed away with family by her side on September 27, 2016 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. A loving, gentle, kind, and positive force to her family and all those around her, she was adored by all. Born in Middletown, PA on March 28, 1931 - she was the daughter of the late Paul and Hilda (Markey) Bauchmoyer. She was a graduate of the Class of 1949 of Middletown High School and enjoyed monthly luncheons with her long-time friends. Her family owned and operated Bauchmoyer's Grocery on E. High Street in Middletown until the 1960's. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Vincent Chiarella, as well as her sister Pauline (Bauchmoyer) Quaca and husband John, her sister Evelyn (Bauchmoyer) McKelvey and her brother Paul Bauchmoyer - originally of Middletown, PA. She is survived by a daughter Victoria (Chiarella) Vitolo, and husband Joseph of Halifax, PA and grandchildren Angelina of Akron, PA and Vincent of Adamsburg, PA. Also surviving are sons Joseph Chiarella of Camp Hill and Anthony and Paula (Mohney) Chiarella of Dillsburg as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A one hour viewing will be offered at 10:00am on Saturday October 1, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 1439 Market Street in Harrisburg where she was a member for 57 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the viewing. She will be interred at Resurrection Cemetery in West Hanover Twp immediately following the Mass. Her wishes were that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 1439 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103.
