DEAR ZOGBY FAMILY: This is John and Joyce Alshefski \ old friends of Jacks from Shenandoah, Pa . Jack and I went to Villanova together and we were roommates our senior year. Jack was best man at our wedding in 1964 a long time ago. We found out about Jack and Kathys passing from my niece Eleanor Parker {Alshefski} yesterday January 12. . Eleanors mother passed away on January 7th and she had called a relative of her mother who lives in San Diego, Calif ; Bob Mazieka to inform him of her passing. Bob in turn told her he had just received a call from a friend in Shenandoah that Jack and Kathy Zogby had passed. Eleanor then called us of their passing.
Jack and i were friends during our college years and I knew his family in Shenandoah. That was many years ago in the 50s and 60s. They were great people. After gaduation we lost some contact. I went into the service, and afterwards, my work relocated me to different states. Jack and I kept some contact at Villanova games and re-unions, but as the many years passed so did the communication. However we were happy that Jack and Kathy attended our 50th anniversay party 6 years ago here in Reading, Pa.
Joyce and I convey our condolences to the Zogby family and though we haven't seen Jack recently we have great memories.
We will keep Jack and Kathy in our prayers.
