It is hard to believe that this day has come. Almost 21 years ago I moved beside you and you became known as "The Flower Lady". You had a beautiful yard, with all sorts of beautiful plants and flowers. I quickly came to know that you also had a beautiful soul, and a family.
At the time when I needed it most you and I became good friends. You never once looked at me and anything less than part of your family.
Invite me to gatherings with your family, getting to know all your children, brothers, and sister as well as your extended family. I needed someone when I had no family to really speak of left
.
You and I would often sit and talk over coffee about anything on our minds. Laughing, and at times when you were not feeling the best, just sit and relax in the living room or on the back porch.
I am sad to say goodbye but happy that you are no longer in pain. You have had a good life and you and your family sure made my life better. You gave me a special memory the night I came to see you and bring you some soup that I made. Before I left you took my hand and held it for a few moments as I watched you have some tea and drift off to sleep.
I love you and thank you for every memory that we shared and made. You will forever be known to me as "The Flower Lady"! I will never forget you, my friend. Plant some flowers in heaven for me, will ya?
