Kirsten Moe, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Kirsten was a retired bookkeeper from The Harrisburg Stamp Company and a retired Executive Tax preparer from H&R Block. She held an Associate’s Degree in Social Psychology, an Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She was one of the co-founders of Londonderry Private School which opened in the early 1970 and it continues to enhance children's lives till this day.
Kirsten was a strong advocate for human rights and battled against the injustices of the world. She truly loved all of the arts and was a tremendous supporter of so many local artists in the greater Harrisburg area. She was determined and succeeded in making sure all of her children and grandchildren were exposed to all the art and beauty the world had to offer. Another great passion of Kirsten's was making quilts for family members and friends. Each quilt was made with great love for the individual receiving it.
Kirsten was preceded in death by her parents, Rud and Alice (Reily) Moe, her infant son Joseph Paul, her husband Ace, 4 sisters: Mary Alice, Sigrid, Jeanette and Peggy.
She is survived by her four children, John D. Patrick, Tina M. Jaen, Barbara A. Enders (Matthew) and Victoria A. McCabe (Charles),loving step children, 2 Brothers: Rud Moe (Karen), and Thomas Moe. She is also survived by her grandchildren James, Elizabeth, who is one very special grandchild, who began her life living with her gram and then most recently moving in and taking care of her until her passing, Shannon, Charles, Samantha, Joseph, Amanda, Leticia, Cesar, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews
